Savoring Summer

Last week I went to Bible school at Grandma Bonnie and Papa's church. There was only one other 2 year old there, but I made friends with lots of big kids. I didn't quite grasp all of the lessons, but I tried. I was excited to go each night. We had a performance on Friday night, and I just stood there the whole time and didn't sing a word. Mom says that on the bright side, at my age I could have been crying, screaming, or running around, and at least I didn't do those things.

Later Friday night I went to Chapin's Big Country Days celebration. I rode a horse and watched an outdoor play about the town's history. Saturday morning I was in the parade with Daddy. What a great time! I loved waving at the crowd, and spotted lots of people I knew. We ran into Jake's family there, and he and I went for a horse ride together.

I also fit in a couple of swims last week with Tucker and Jaycie. This week I have been practicing my gymnastics. Mom and Dad have major Olympic fever. We have had the TV on almost all the time (rare for us), and floor exercise is definitely my favorite. Wait til you see my somersault!!

I have a BIG GIRL BED!!!!

Check out my cool new room! This week Dad and Mom took me to Arcola to the Raggedy Ann and Andy Museum to find things for my "vintage Raggedy Ann" room. There we met Joni Gruell (in the first picture with me) who is the granddaughter of Raggedy Ann's creator. I had a great time. Then, this weekend Mom and Dad completely transfomed my room including taking down my crib and putting my big girl bed together. I was so surprised when I came home today and saw it all!!! I love it!!! If you're close by, stop in and see it for yourself.
